BOOKS: Album of (51) Japanese Prints by Kogyo, 51 prints plus a title page, accordion bound between cloth-covered boards in Japanese style, with prints mounted on both sides. 9 1/2 x 14 1/2 inches, oblong. Unknown publisher or date. Tsukioka Kogyo , sometimes called Sakamaki Kogyo (1869-1927) was a Japanese artist of the Meiji period.

Notes/Literature: Huguette Marcelle Clark (1906-2011) was an heiress and philanthropist, who became well known again late in life as a recluse, living in a hospital for more than 20 years while her mansions remained empty. She was an accomplished artist and musician, having studied under famous portrait painter Tadeusz Styka, and her paintings were exhibited at the Corcoran Gallery, Washington in 1925

Condition
Very good, with cloth worn and fraying at edges, pages and prints have some smudges or offsetting from facing pages, one fold in the accordion partially torn
