Notes/Literature: Huguette Marcelle Clark (1906-2011) was an heiress and philanthropist, who became well known again late in life as a recluse, living in a hospital for more than 20 years while her mansions remained empty. She was an accomplished artist and musician, having studied under famous portrait painter Tadeusz Styka, and her paintings were exhibited at the Corcoran Gallery, Washington in 1925

Fair, Paris en Flanant has a gift inscription on the title page, and the binding is very loose with book block separating from the spine, Paris 1925 and Paris Fin de Siecle are worn and the covers are splitting at the joints, Ponts de Paris has a gift inscription dated 1959, jacket on Merveilles de France has tears on front and spine, slipcase for Vingt-Cinq Ans d'Elegance a Paris is worn and splitting at seems, be advised that all lots in this sale will exhibit some degree of wear due to age and/or handling
