North America, Guatemala, ca. mid 20th century CE. A hand-carved wooden mask of a woman, painted white, with dark red details around the mouth, nose, and cheeks. An elaborate coiffure tops her head. Made to be worn during the Patzcar Dance. Size: 3.8" W x 6.15" H (9.7 cm x 15.6 cm)
