This lot consists of an original lithograph depicting a winged creature, similar to a Sphinx or a Griffin looks menacingly at four female figures huddling behind a parapet under a flag, from the "Suite Vollard" series of etchings by Pablo Picasso (Spanish 1881-1973). Hand signed "Picasso" and dated 14.7.60 in pencil along the bottom of the plate. Includes a Certificate which reads in part 'Suite Vollard by Pablo Picasso, Original Lithograph, after the etching. Edition: 25 Suite Vollard, signed by Picasso, Hand Signed in pencil by Picasso 14.7.60, Sheet dimensions 8-1/2" X 11", Published by Galerie Gerd Rosen, Ausstellung.
