CAST-IRON "RAILROAD CROSSING" RAILROAD SIGN, TWO PIECE SET, each section of oblong form and double sided creating a cross-buck form, white paint with raised black lettering including "20896-86X", central mounting holes, approximately 36 lbs. each piece. First half 20th century. 9" X 48".
Very good overall condition with very light scattered rust spots, several paint touch-ups, one example with a separation off of a mounting bracket and into the edge.
Provenance: Property of a Staunton, VA collector.
