Description
An 18ct gold George III enamel memorial ring. Of oval outline, the glazed panel painted with a lady in mourning, by an urn, to the tapered band in black and white enamel reading 'William Flack, died 20 April 1799', a personal engraving to the inner band. Hallmark for London, 1812. Ring size V. Weight 6.7gms.
Condition
The condition of this lot is fair. There are surface scratches to the metal and enamel as well as to the glass, in keeping with age and wear. The internal inscription reads 'M L Lambert, the gift of James Pottor, Obt Oct 12th 1866'.
