Fine Chinese Kangxi circa 1700, Blue & White Planter well painted with three medallions of Antiques on a ground of hawthorn branches over cracked ice; the base in clear glaze with a small drainage hole now plugged and an old inventory mark; the top edge with an old auction or exhibition label. Light age related wear, small areas of staining deep into the glaze, 2 short horizontal glaze cracks outside and not visible inside, mouth edge slightly reduced outside and polished. Diameter 8 3/8 inches (21.4 cm.) X height 6 1/2 inches (16.6 cm.).
