Mid-19th century
Dial signed: Marquis / a Paris; movement signed: Farret / a Paris; case stamped: H. Picard for maker Henri Picard
Surmounted by an aegicrane-molded and festooned urn topped with a bouquet of fruit, flowers, and wheat, mounted atop a cylindrical case centering a white enameled face with black Roman numeral hour markers attached to a two-train movement, flanked by patinated bronze putti seated atop the rocaille and grillage-molded festooned base, on scroll feet
25.25" H x 34.5" W x 15.5" D

Provenance: Private Collection, Los Angeles, CA.

Condition

Overall good condition with scattered minor scuffs, scratches, nicks and darkening to bronze commensurate with age. Scattered spots of verdigris with a larger area to top of urn. An approximately .5"-diameter repaired chip to enamel on face. Left side garland somewhat bent and is no longer in putti's grasp. Hinge to verso aperture door stuck. Lacking pendulum and bell; working condition unknown. Moran's does not guarantee working condition of clocks and watches.
