This copy formerly belonged to Nobel Prize winner William Henry Bragg, with his ownership signature on the title page. Bragg was awarded the 1915 Nobel Prize for Physics with his son William Lawrence Bragg for their analysis of crystal structure by means of X rays. The present volume is the author's major work, and established Watson as one of the leading American experts in celestial mechanics and orbital theory. This is reprint of the 1868 first edition, with the same publisher and pagination.
Condition
Fading to spine, some extremity wear; hinges cracked at endpaper; very good.
