A slim 4to printed booklet entitled Orgelspiel, the privately printed German text being 'from the poems of Josef Knechts by Hermann Hesse', Berlin, July 1937, the cover featuring a vignette of organ pipes, signed ('Hermann Hesse') by Hesse in pencil to the inside front cover, beneath a printed musical quotation from a work by Bach, and dated May 1940 in Hesse's hand.
