Wood with rich varied and aged patina in the form of a female face with delicately executed features including slit eyes; small open mouth with filed teeth, diminutive nose and ears with multicolored glass bead earrings; scarification on forehead and under each eye; large elaborate looped rope coiffure attached to mask covered with traditional mud and shell ornaments and loop at top for suspension; finely woven raffia attachment at back, sides and bottom of mask. 48.2 by 30.4 cm (19 by 12 in.)
