Near East, north of Iran, Marlik, second half of 2nd millennium to early 1st millennium BCE. A thick-walled piriform macehead carved from a lustrous black stone with a cylindrical socket, open at both ends. Some wear commensurate with use and age. Size: 2.625" W x 2.75" H (6.7 cm x 7 cm)
