A rare copper-red and under-glazed blue decorated "dragon" vase . The vase is of globular form that elegantly rises to a tall, slightly flared, columnar neck. The exterior of the body is finely painted in bright tones of copper-red to depict a ferocious five-clawed dragons striding amidst flames and crashing under-glazed cobalt-blue waves. The white base inscribed in under-glaze blue with a six-character Yongzheng reign mark. 19th century. 22"h.
