Continental Enamel Plaque

18th century, depicting Aphrodite with a satyr, freshly pierced by the arrows of Eros, who stands to one side, his bow and arrow on the other, in a contemporary giltwood frame.

There is a 1/2" triangular shaped crack to the upper left of the oval with a subsequent 1/8" loss. An approximate 1" surface scratch is present in the red cloth beneath aphrodite. In otherwise good condition. The dimensions of the plaque are 2-3/8" x 3-1/2".
