The painting is on canvas laid down on a wooden panel, which is also backed with canvas. There are some heavy cracks in the corners. in the upper right corner, some of the paint is lifting, and there is a chip missing. The same at upper left where there is a smaller chip missing. There is some retouching throughout the sky, and cracks, mostly in the sky. There are numerous tiny retouches in the trees at right and some retouching on the foreground. The varnish fluoresces overall. The painting is behind glass in an old, probably original frame, in fine condition
