Description
American, late 19th century. A Kyser & Rex cast iron bank of a boy stealing a watermelon, marked 133 on back. Push lever on side of dog house, causing dog to slide out while boy's arm moves to steal watermelon, and coin goes into slot; ht. 5, wd. 6.5, dp. 1.25 in.
Condition
Likely repair/repainting to center of fence. Right side of fence fluoresces under blacklight (for blacklight photos please email cleveland@cowans.com). Paint loss, could use a cleaning. Other wear consistent with age and use.
