Pierre M. Lapie (1779-1850) was a French cartographer and engraver whose renown works are today held in the collection of the Library of Congress. As a Colonel in the French army, he worked in the corps of topographical engineers, and the maps he created with his son went on to become influential on German commercial map makers during the 19th century.
