Late 19th to early 20th century oil painting on board of a gentleman, his facial expression shows he is pondering over a bowl being heated probably for some kind of experiment. Label on reverse states that the painting was purchased from Halle Bros. Furniture, Cleveland, OH by Mrs. E. C. Prissing, Norwalk, OH, 13 1/2" x 11 1/2", sight view 6" x 8". Condition - painting very good condition, gesso giltwood frame with 1/8" gesso loss and a tiny bead loss. No apparent restoration.
