Virginia Federal Candlestand, mixed woods; comprised of a plain circular top, over a tall tapered standard with ring and urn turning, raised on a tripod base with three cabriole legs terminating in slender snake feet. Base highlighted by carved scalloped edge. 24 1/2" H x 18" W x 12 1/2" dia. Virginia, early 19th century. Provenance: Private Knoxville, TN estate. Condition

Full split to top with some staining and fading. Wear to feet. Later metal brace added to base center. Old two-screw repair to crack on base.
