Notes: The present image is from General Charles De Gaulle's 1958 trip to Constantine, Algeria during the Algerian crisis. "General De Gaulle's first task as head of government was to defuse the situation in Algeria. In a four-day visit he tried to calm the Algeria population as well as the French colons" (www.lessingimages.com, image number 58-09-10/13). Paper size: 11.5" H x 16.5" W.

Generally good condition. The extreme upper left corner bent. Unframed, as stated, in an archival sleeve.
