Description
A very attractive map in the Tallis tradition with plenty of settlement and topography detail. Five vignettes: Cape Town, Entrance to the Knysna, Grahams Town, three natives in traditional dress, and a lion.
John Tallis (1817-1876) was an English cartographic publisher. His company, John Tallis and Company, published views, maps and atlases in London from roughly 1838 to 1851.
