Mexico, ca. mid-20th century CE. This is a stunning carved and painted mask depicting a youthful face with a prominent nose and pink, full lips. Three holes have been drilled into either side of the top of the mask for mounting, but only two are used for the accompanying stand. This mask was exhibited at the Mexican Masks of the 20th Century: A Living Tradition show at the Morris Museum in Morristown, New Jersey. Custom museum-quality stand included. Size: 4" L x 7" W x 8" H (10.2 cm x 17.8 cm x 20.3 cm); 13.5" H (34.3 cm) on stand.
