This is the two volume (482 + 529 pages) classiques garnier softcover edition, in the original french, rebound, with vellum spines and marbled boards, and with the author and title hand-written, with decorations, on the spines. The covers have some edge wear, including bumped outside corners, but they are sound overall, with straight spines, unfaded lettering, no notable stains, and no deep tears. Each front end page has a circular blind embossed personal library stamp (Lois Church). There are no other stamps, and no attachments. I've found no writing. The entire softcovers, including the yellow covers, have been bound, with that binding secure, and no loose or missing pages. There is light sunning toward the borders, but no other notable stains, and no tears. This is a nice set with elegant covers.
