Description
North America, Southern US, ca. 1000 BCE to 500 CE. An ensemble of ancient Native American near-miniature knapped stone items. Some of the stones are fashioned into points used for hunting, fishing, and cutting by way of attaching them to arrow shafts or small spear handles. Most of the other stones were formed into awls which were traditionally crafted to facilitate piercing holes into leather and wood. The twenty-four stone items have an array of earthentone hues such as beige, slate gray, creamy white, and light- and dark-brown. A lovely collection of ancient stone tools! Size of largest: 3.625" L (9.2 cm).
