This three piece caviar serving set includes a cutting knife, a mother of pearl scoop and a mother of pearl spreader. It is Austrian made having continental, 800, silver handles. All three pieces of the silver is hallmarked for Austria, with the toucan head mark. The caviar serving set has no monograms and has not been buffed. The handles are continental 800 silver and not 925 sterling silver.

The cutting knife has a silver handle with a steel blade and was used for cutting up lemons, eggs or toast triangles. It measures approximately 6 7/8" long, the caviar scoop has a matching silver handle with a mother of pearl scoop and measures approximately 5 3/8" long and the caviar spreader also has a matching silver handle with a mother of pearl blade and measures approximately 5 1/2" in length.

These two pieces to this caviar serving set, the scoop and spreader, with the mother of pearl, were the pieces that were intended to touch the caviar as mother of pearl does not react with the caviar thus will not alter the taste. This set is circa 1920s and comes in a white box fitted with a burgundy velvet. The silver and mother of pearl is in excellent condition. The box is showing it's age.

This is in excellent vintage condition and has no monogram or other engraving, a little polishing would not hurt.
