The present edition is notable for the many dissections and skeletal depictions in addition to the hand-colored plates of the subjects animals. Despite some irregular numbering and the fact that the numbers called for are inconsistent, the plates appear complete. Sold as is.

Condition

Rubbing to bindings with occasional minor chipping to spine ends; interiors solid with generally light foxing throughout (including plate volumes), 1 map with a few minor chips and a small closed tear to edges, plate colors still bright; very good.
