Description
A MONGOLIAN-STYLE PARCEL-GILT AND JADE-INLAID SILVER EWER AND COVERQING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY, the pear-shaped body embellished with coral, hardstones, gilded lion-masks and chilong, inlaid on each side with jade plaques carved in relief with stylized shou characters surrounded by auspicious objects, one end set with a long tapering spout issuing from the mouth of a makara, opposite an elaborate handle linked by a chain to the domed cover, surmounted with a jade crane finial, all supported on a pedestal foot.
