Roman Empire, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. Stunning bronze fitting (or possibly pommel to a knife) in the form of a horse head. Wonderfully fluid and detailed with parted mane, open mouth and almond-shaped eyes. Wonderful green and brown patina. Custom stand. Size: 2.25" L (5.7 cm)
