Description
A JAPANESE EBONIZED CARVED PINE SCULPTURE OF A BODHISATTVA, CIRCA TOKUGAWA (1600-1868) MEIJI (1868-1912) PERIODS, the figure with a bearded sage head topped turban, wearing traditional robes, holding a sun or moon disc, seated on a rocky base. Height: 6 3/4" Width: 4 3/4" Depth: 3 5/8"
Condition
Some minor wear and bubbling to the finish intermittently throughout, and there are a few minor chips to the base and loss to the finger and staff, but otherwise in very good condition, wear commensurate with age.
