Description
Roman, Imperial Period, probably Eastern Mediterranean / Holy Land region, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A remarkably intact utilitarian vessel with an ample, bulbous body, a loop handle, and a rolled lip with a narrow spout designed to minimize evaporation. Three simple bands of decoration are incised around the shoulder to neck transition area. Probably made to hold water or wine. Size: 5.9" W x 7.5" H (15 cm x 19 cm)
