Description

A PAIR OF MINIATURE PORTRAITS, 18TH AND 19TH CENTURY. The first depicting a young boy in red jacket, oil on copper, probably French, circa 1780, and contained in a later glazed gilt frame. Together with a profile portrait of a beautiful young woman with pearl necklace, flower decorated bodice, and elaborate coiffure. Verso with glazed compartment displaying braided hair contained in a bezel form oval pendant frame with suspension loop, circa 1810. Greatest size 3 inches (7.7 cm).
