Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty period gilt bronze plate; From private collections of Mrs. E. B. Greppo, of Los Angeles, CA., by inheritance. Acquired from H. Taylor Curtis Co. Salesroom on 915 W. Seventh St., Los Angeles. Behalf S. KAJIWARA of 939 W. 7th St. Los Angeles, CA; during Oriental Works of Art rare and valuable Antiquities sales commencing on February 1924. Cast in flori-form lobed petal rim radiating towards the cavetto. The central interior shows reliefs of two vigorous dragons chasing the flaming pearl amidst dense of clouds. Extensive trace of gilt. Qing Dynasty Period.


Mark on base, incised four script -KaiShu- characters reign mark, enclosed by square frame border, QianLong Reign Period.
