DESCRIPTION: Donald MacLaughlin (Massachusetts/Canada, 1876-1938). Two etchings on paper. Includes: 1) 1905 etching featuring a village scene. Signed and dated in plate. Signed lower right in pencil. 4-1/2" x 3-1/4". Overall with frame and mat 12-1/8" x 10". 2) 1906 etching featuring a harbor scene. Signed and dated in plate. Signed in pencil lower right. 3-1/4" x 3-1/4". Overall with frame and mat 10" x 10". Wood frames with glass and mat. PROVENANCE: From the collection of Dr. Beate A. Schiwek (1943-2016), Chambersburg, PA. Dr. Schiwek was the Dean and Chief Academic Officer at Felician College in Lodi, NJ, Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA and Rosemont College in Rosemont, PA. While at Felician, she became the first dean of a private college to serve as National President of the Council of Colleges at Arts & Sciences. MEASUREMENTS: See Description. CONDITION: Minor toning and undulation. Minor wear to frames.
