Each retains period frame and printed label attached to panel verso "Emanuel Currant / Manufacturer of Looking-Glass, Portrait and Picture / Frames, / 131 King-Street, / Charleston, S. C. / Gilding and Re-Gilding in all its Various Branches". Circa 1840. Each 8 3/4" x 7 3/8" sight, 15 1/2" x 14 1/4" OA.
One painting with significant craquelure, flaking, and surface losses, other in very good visual condition with minor abrasions and discoloration. Both frames with moderate to heavy wear and losses to molded-composition.
