AMERICAN SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) FOLK ART PORTRAIT OF A BOY, oil on academy board, charming depiction of a barefoot boy standing in a creek bed, path leading to a farmhouse in distance, no signature located, board bearing merchant's stamp verso for "Wm. Minifee" in "Baltimore". Housed in a period molded giltwood frame. Circa 1880. 9 1/2" x 12 3/4" sight, 12 1/2" x 15 3/4" OA.
Very good visual condition with minor craquelure, abrasions, and discoloration. Frame with minor wear.
