Brutalist sculpture by Lea Goodman.Signed:"Lea Goodman" center right on disc.In Lea Goodman's own words:"I was born in Poland and brought up in France. In 1954, studied photography at the London School of Printing and Graphic Art, and then worked as a freelance photographer. My first exhibition was held at the Visual Arts Centre.In the late Sixties, I took a further course at the Hammersmith School of Graphic Art and Building, specializing in direct metal sculpture. My first sculpture exhibition was held in Maddox Street.After winning the Concours Award at the 2nd International Exhibition of Sculpture at the Hakone Open-Air Museum, Japan, in 1971, other exhibitions as well as commissions followed, amongst them one from the GLC for a play sculpture.In 1975, I was invited to be the artist in resident in the printmaking department of the Royal College of Art. A year later I established an art therapy unit at the Royal Marsden Hospital."
