Description
Late Period, 664-332 BC. A group of three glazed composition shabtis, each with mummiform body, wearing tripartite wig and false beard, arms crossed over chest and holding pick and hoe, seed bag to the back of two; bands of hieroglyphs to the body; supporting pillar to the back. 203 grams total, 11-13cm (4 1/4 - 5 1/4"). Property of a North London gentleman; previously in an early 1980s collection. [3]
