Pre-Columbian, Colombia, Tairona culture, ca. 800 to 1200 CE. A long restrung necklace, in hues of citrine, ruby-red, coral, and salmon, with forty twin-stranded sections of spondylus shell beads, each separated by a horizontally-oriented bead. The necklace pendant, a long tubular bead comprised of similarly-colored shell, is tied onto the bottom of the necklace. Size: 16.25" L (41.3 cm).
