Pre-Columbian, Costa Rica, Guanacaste-Nicoya, ca. 200 to 600 CE. An endearing seafoam green jade axe god carved to represent an abstract human or possibly simian form. String cut and drilled features including drilled eyes and teeth, a striated headdress, and hands meeting at waist; drilled laterally for suspension. Size: 4.125" H (10.5 cm)
