Fine Handel table lamp featuring an 18 inch "chipped ice" shade, the border handsomely decorated with the woodsy Virginia Creeper vine, the leaves tipped by fall colors and accessorized by reddish purple berries. The dome of the shade is a complementary ochre color having wipe out patterns resembling leaf and twig litter, a befitting layout for this design. The shade is hand signed via enameling Handel with the design number 7014 along with the cypher of the artist FL, possibly for Ms. Florence Lewis. A Handel interlocking ring surrounds the upper rim. The slender bronze base is molded with acanthus foliage on the stem and base and has a trio of Hubbell light sockets with bell pulls and has a pierced heat cap on the top. Height to the acorn finial is 24 inches. This is a fresh on the market lamp, highly prized by the owner over many years. A well preserved, flawless lamp in excellent condition.
