This unmarked silver filigree square box is possibly a cricket box. The motif of the filigree work is floral with some scrolls. The filigree work is on top, bottom and all sides of the box. The box measures approximately 2 inches by 2 inches. The box has a hinged lid that has a snap closure. The bottom of the box is flat. The top or lid to the box has a slight dome to it. The condition of the filigree looks excellent with no tears or missing filigree. With the box being unmarked it is not possible to identify the country of origin and accurately date it, but only to guess. This type of filigree work was done mostly in Asia and the box could be Chinese export. Possibly 1920s.
