Description
Three Tim Liess (1965-2009 American, Indiana, Chicago) watercolors on paper entitled "The Old Homestead", "Cold Snap" and "Spring Thaw." Liess is a graduate of the American Academy of Art in Chicago and works in dry brush watercolor technique, sometimes using as many as 30 layers of paint on heavy paper to achieve the effect he wants although no evidence of artist or paint are to be seen. Each is signed and dated 1990 in the lower left hand corner and Spring Thaw is even signed in gold on the glass, lower right. Sight size of each is 3 5/8 by 5 5/8 inches and with metal frames the total size is 16 by 18 inches. Excellent original condition.
