Description
The front of the medal read "Napoleon I Empereur" (The Emperor Napoleon) with Napoleon bust. Reverse reads "Campagnes de 1792 a 1815, A ses compagnons de glores sa derniere pensee 8th helene 5 mai 1821" (The 1792-1815 Campaigns, To his fellow glories his last thoughts 8th Helen May 5, 1821). In 1857 Napoleon Bonaparte honored all still living combatants who fought for France in the period of 1792-1815. Dimensions: D 1.25"

The live bidding for this auction takes place in our Westport, CT gallery and online, while all the items will be located at our warehouse for preview and for pickup. Previews for the Saturday antique auction are Monday October 16th through Friday October 20th 10am-5pm Pickups for this sale will be Monday October 23rd through Friday November 3rd 10am-5pm weekdays only. We are not open at the warehouse on the weekends.
