Elaine Towns
(California, 1937- )

Large abstract oil painting by female African American artist Elaine Towns.
Elaine Towns was born in Los Angeles, CA 1937, and studied at UCLA. She also studied abroad, winning a Fulbright Grant to Spain,1963-64. Her works have been exhibited internationally.

Exhibited : Los Angeles County Museum, 1960; James Pelan Traveling Exhibition, 1963; Exposicion de Artistas Becarios Fulbright, Madrid, Spain, 1964; Exhibition of Prints by American Negro Artists, sponsored by the Institute of Soviet-American Relations in the Soviet Union; Long Beach Museum of Fine Arts, 1961.
