This lot consists of an Original Poster by Andy Warhol (1928 - 1987 American), hand signed 'Andy Warhol' and 'R. Means'. One of three different posters by Andy Warhol in 1976 and 1977 for the Ace Gallery of Los Angeles. It depicts prominent Indian Rights activist Russell Means. There are three different posters in this series - red, blue and attack. This is the blue poster. Warhol painted 18 portraits of Means during this period, a subject who was in line with Warhol's efforts to glamorize the marginalized in our society. Signed in black marker.

Poster rolls when not weighted down as it was stored rolled. Some discoloration en verso. Poster has some mimor scuffs and abrasions to outside edge. Image is crisp, vibrant and free from any major blemishes.
