Oil on board painting, attributed to Jean-Michel Basquiat, 1960 to 1988, an American street artist of Haitian descent, friend of Andy Warhol and Keith Haring. The artwork is an abstract composition with the phrase Irony of Negro, referring to the 1981 painting Irony of Negro Policeman. The backside features a sign King Samo, which was the NY street art pseudonym of Basquiat and Al Diaz. The Estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andre Emmerich Gallery certification stamps on the backside. Collectible Contemporary American Modernist Art, Graffiti And Street Art.
