Description

Lot of 2 Herter's "Vit Glodo" type duck calls: 1) 5 5/8" walnut barrel/acrylic stopper No. 279 duck call that remains in about new condition with original box. The call features a well-marked chocolate brown acrylic stopper with Patent No. 2317458 clearly imprinted along with Herter's address info. There is a large "H" stamped on barrel at bottom of turned lanyard ring. Overall the call is minty, box shows some high edge scuff, inside seam split repair to one end panel, some shelf soil/scuff with all panels intact and clearly legible. No instructions are present. 2) 5 5/8" duck call No. 272 with what appears to be a maple barrel/amber acrylic stopper. This call shows no evidence of wear or use, minty! Both calls in this lot feature correct Herter's patented integral tone boards with metal reeds. Both calls exhibit near perfect and loud tone. $75-150. (OCB-10899, 10906)
