Lot of Two Herter's No. 279 Vit Glodo Duck Calls: 1)5 5/8" rosewood and plastic marbleized type swirl pattern stopper. This is a beautiful call showing just a hint of in-use scuff, most all original finish remains and comes in unmarked leather pouch. The tone of this call is exceptional. 2) This call measures 5 3/8" rosewood barrel with amber acrylic stopper, typical Herter's metal reed. The barrel and stopper remain in immaculate original condition with only a very tiny rim ding to the unmarked stopper. There is the standard "H" stamped between lanyard rings. This call comes in a correctly marked No. 279 box that shows a bit of darkening from age, some scattered margins scuff, but overall a tight box with no seam splits, all panels clearly legible.
