Description
FRENCH ETIENNE MAXANT SLATE AND MARBLE SHELF CLOCK, eight-day brass movement marked "ETIENNE MAXANT / PARIS", with coil gong, housed in a black slate case with inset marble accents, and beveled-glass door; gilt-metal dial with Arabic numerals. Pendulum present, with serial number "13478" matching the movement. Late 19th/early 20th century. 10 1/4" H, 10 1/2" x 6 1/8" OA.
Excellent condition overall, chip to one corner of base. Not currently in working condition.
