C. 18th to early 19th century, small oil painting of a seated shepherd girl holding a staff and basket of flowers. Foreground with two urns of flowers, great colors, 6 1/2 x 8" giltwood frame. We did not examine painting out of frame to determine if painted on board or paper. There are flaked paint areas that are best viewed under a loupe mostly to the upper right corner and on her skirt but do not detract for the painting. The wooden back has square / cut nails that appear to have been there for a long time without being removed.

This is one of the estates antique lovers can only dream about! 95% of the items selling in this auction are from a local estate.
